There are many reasons breast augmentation surgery has to be revised. The implant can be placed in the wrong place to begin with. This is corrected by placing the implant in the proper position. The most common problem, however, is a hardening of the breast. Usually, this is caused by capsule contracture around the breast implant. We do various procedures to alleviate this problem. One is to do a partial or complete removal of the scar around the implant (capsulectomy). This is often accompanied with the replacement of the implants with new implants.
